We use our brain to process sound. Once our inner ear has received a sound, it sends electrical signals to the auditory nerve, these impulses are transferred to the auditory center of the brain. The signal reception process varies between individuals with auditory nerve sensitivity. When the nerve sensitivity is low and missed out some sound frequencies, the brain would emit signal for us to tune up the sound (energy).
